Day 8 in my #31dayphotochallenge | Still Life

In day 8 of my #31dayphotochallenge I took this still life picture with my #GooglePixel as usual and edited with Adobe Photoshop CC for mobile devices. Check it out here if you want a great editing software on the go: http://amzn.to/2AqG9UK

In this still life picture of the fruit arranged into a smiling face I wanted to depict that the inanimate fruit was happy about something. Or maybe to show that if you eat fruit you too will be happy. However you see it, I wanted to convey a positive feeling attached to fruit.

I feel like a lot of food that is good for you gets a bad wrap because they weren't cooked well or properly matched together. Food and the cooking of it is an art form all to it's own. The food being the media or pigment and the canvas being our five senses (or sometimes 6 depending if you can see ghosts or not. But that's irrelevant for this blog post). I look to practice my cooking techniques whenever I get the chance because you're not only sharpening your cooking/artistic skills by experimentation but you get a better appreciation for those that do it on a full-time basis. So in closing, you truly are what you eat. If you want to have a "still life" eat more cakes, cookies, and donuts and if you want to have an active life eat more fruits, veggies and lean meats. Happy cooking!
